James Broussard is a New Orleans drummer. James grew up in New Orleans and Lafayette having family in both places. This tale of two cities still influences his playing. James' music performance and recording experiences have allowed him to explore and utilize many styles and genres.

James' career as a drummer includes projects and gigs with Louis Michot of the the Lost Bayou Ramblers, the Urbosleeks, Mass Solo Revolt, the band Michael, Strawboss, the N'awlins Johnnys, Toui Xahn Vietnamese wedding band, Tee Chaoui Cajun Band, the White Eagles Mardi Gras Indian Band, Chansons Et Soulard Cajun Band, and the Blue Bayou Cajun Band.
